June 6: The total allotment of coal offered by various subsidiaries of CIL through the spot e-auction route in April, rose 7.71% to 5.59 mt as compared to 5.19 mt allotted in March, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
The premium earned over the notified price in April stood at 53.17% over the notified price.
The quantity of coal allotted through the spot e-auction route during the various months is as follows:
February 2014: 6.22 mt
January 2014: 6.25 mt
December 2013: 5.64 mt
November 2013: 5.38 mt
October 2013: 5.37 mt
September 2013: 4.44 mt
August 2013: 4.36 mt
July 2013: 4.01 mt
June 2013: 4.51 mt
May 2013: 3.55 mt
April 2013: 3.22 mt
Coal offerings were as follows:
April 2014: 5.85 mt,
March 2014: 5.99 mt
February 2014: 7.43 mt
January 2014: 7.39 mt.
December 2013: 6.92 mt
November 2013: 6.68 mt,
October 2013: 6.22 mt,
September 2013: 4.93 mt,
August 2013: 5.64 mt,
July 2013: 4.55 mt,
June 2013: 5.31 mt,
May 2013: 4.14 mt May

In April, the bid price of the allocated quantity stood at Rs 1,256.79 crore which was a 53.17% premium over the notified price of Rs 820.49 crore.
The total allotment of coal through spot e-auction during 2013-14 stood at 58.13 mt whereas the offered quantity stood at 68.86 mt, which means nearly 84.42% of the offered quantity was allotted.
The bid price of the allotted quantity during fiscal 2013-14 stood at Rs 12,767.06 crore which was 37.56% higher than the notified price of Rs 9,281.04 crore.
In 2012-13, allotment through spot e-auction stood at 44.26 mt while the offered quantity was 52.43 mt. The bid price of the allotted quantity stood at Rs 11,148.52 crore, which was 49.92% higher compared to the notified price of Rs 7,436.55 crore.
