CIL seeks to upgrade explosives used at its mines

May 6: In order to upgrade the explosives and detonators used at its coal mines, Coal
India Ltd (CIL) has floated an Expression of Interest (EoI) seeking newly developed products and new sources.

"It is proposed to introduce newly developed explosives and accessories and new sources of explosives and accessories in CIL mines," the company said in its invitation for EoI.

The company has sought EoIs for 11 product groups in explosives category which are in regular use at CIL mines. The selected products will be tested by CMPDI before being put to use at the mines, it said.

The last date for submitting EoI is September 30, 2014.
