CIL spot coal allotment via other platform falls sharply in Feb

April 22: Both the allotted and offered quantities of coal through the MSTC platform in March 2014 rose sharply as compared to that in February 2014, according to information available with ICMW.
In March, 2.44 million tons (mt) of various types of coal were offered by seven subsidiaries of Coal India Limited (CIL) on the MSTC platform of which 2.2 mt got allotted.
However, in February, 1.5 million tons of various types of coal were offered by five subsidiaries of CIL on the MSTC platform of which 1.07 mt got allotted.
On the other hand, in January 2014, 3.7 mt of various types of coal were offered by six subsidiaries of CIL on the MSTC platform of which 3.3 mt got allotted.
