CIL spot coal allotment via other platform sharply up in Apr

May 27: Both the allotted and offered quantities of coal through the MSTC platform in April 2014 rose sharply as compared to that in March 2014, according to information available with ICMW.
In April 2014, 3.99 million tons (mt) of various types of coal was offered by eight subsidiaries of Coal India Limited (CIL) on the MSTC platform of which 3.77 mt got allotted.
However, in March, 2.44 mt, various types of coal was offered by seven subsidiaries of CIL on the MSTC platform of which 2.2 mt got allotted.
On the other hand, in February, 1.5 mt of various types of coal was offered by five subsidiaries of CIL on the MSTC platform of which 1.07 mt got allotted.
