CIL spot coal allotment via other platform sharply down in May

June 24: Both the allotted and offered quantities of coal through the MSTC platform in May 2014 fell sharply as compared to that in April 2014, according to information available with ICMW.
During May 2014, 1.55 million tons (mt) of various types of coal was offered by five subsidiaries of Coal India Limited (CIL) on the MSTC platform of which 1.46 mt got allotted whereas in April 2014, 3.99 mt of various types of coal was offered by eight subsidiaries of CIL on the MSTC platform of which 3.77 mt got allotted.
On the other hand, in March, 2.44 mt, various types of coal was offered by seven subsidiaries of CIL on the MSTC platform of which 2.2 mt got allotted.
