New UserCIL supplies 35.83 mt coal to power plants in March

April 14: Coal India Ltd (CIL) had supplied a total of 35.83 million tons (mt) of coal to various power plants across the country in March 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Of the total, as much 15.31 mt was supplied to NTPC plants alone, the data revealed.
The Maharashtra Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO), TNEB, GSECL, RRVUNL, HPGCL and MPPGCL were the other major recipients during the month.
Of the total supplies, 22.80 mt was sent to through rail, 1.85 mt through road, 8.12 mt through merry-go-round (MGR), 0.74 mt via belt conveyors, 0.19 mt through OW, 0.211 through rope and the balance 1.92 mt comprised washed coal.
