CMPDI floats global NIT for UCG projects in country

The Central Mine Planning & Design Institute (CMPDI) has floated a global notice inviting tender (NIT) to appoint a consultant for formulation of bid document and model contract document for development of underground coal gasification (UCG) in India.

CMPDI has floated the tender on behalf of the Ministry of Coal (MoC) which intends to develop UCG prospects in the identified areas through reputed contractor/operators to be selected through global bidding.

The scope of work includes three major heads: Formulation of Draft Global Bid Document, Framing of a Draft Model Contract Document and Finalisation of Global Bid Document and Model Contract.

The bid submission start date was April 25, 2016 and the last date for submission is May 25, 2015. The bids would be opened on May 26, 2016.
