Chennai’s anthracite imports up 83% m-o-m in Feb

Anthracite imports through Chennai Port in February 2016 were at 1,728 tons against 944 tons in January 2016, showing a sharp month-on-month rise of 83.05% albeit on a low base, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

In February 2016, all the consignments arrived from China at a price range of Rs 15,924 -Rs 22,404 ($233 -325) per ton.

In January 2016, 904 tons arrived from China at a price range of Rs 15,835 -Rs 21,697 ($235 -322) per ton and 40 tons from Vietnam at Rs 29,924/ton ($428).
