China’s Nov coal imports from South Africa down 15.91% m-o-m

December 5: After registering a 9.48% month-on-month rise in October, China’s coal imports from South Africa’s Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT) fell 15.91% in November on higher prices and low demand, according to data available with ICMW.
China’s coal imports through the terminal stood at 1,036,828 tons in November compared to 1,232,997 tons imported in October, the data revealed.
With this, China’s coal imports from South Africa during the first 11 months of 2013 stood at 11,727,381 tons, down marginally from 11,833,528 tons recorded during the corresponding period in 2012.
