China’s Nuclear Industry eyes India’s coal washing biz

Nuclear Industry Yantai Tongxing Industrial Co Ltd, a leading provider of specialised mining equipment in China, is planning to foray into the Indian coal sector, starting with coal beneficiation projects, a company source told ICMW.
“We are already engaged in mineral exploration and mining projects in India. We are all set to enter the coal sector as well. To start with, we are looking for coal washing projects in both the public and private sector,” the source said at the 6th International Mining Exhibition (IME) 2016.
The company, he said, was engaged in captive iron ore mining for a couple of Indian steelmakers and was also involved in a copper mining project of Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL). Besides, the company was also interested in zinc and lead mining projects in the country.
Nuclear Industry Yantai, credited with the discovery of the first uranium mine in China, specialises in R&D, production and sales of liquid-solid separation equipment. Its main product lines include ceramic filter series, horizontal vacuum belt filter, vertical press filter, centrifuge, control systems, etc.
