China’s SCC not to hike Q3 coking coal price
08 Jul 2019
Shanxi Coking Coal (SCC), China’s top coking coal producer, will probably keep its third-quarter coking coal price unchanged for its long-term customers, though the near-term market outlook seems rather positive, Guo Lijuan, deputy economist of the sales department of SCC said at the 4th China Steel Derivatives International Conference (2019) on July 5 in Shanghai.
“Both our analysis model and market analysts (individuals and from research institutes) tend to agree that the country’s coking coal price may stand chances of increases over July-September, while we have no plan to raise our prices for long-term supplies,” Guo said, as the company values stability and certainty in its long-term business relationship.
