China wash-plant met coal stocks at 7-month low

Total processed coking coal stocks at the 110 Chinese wash plants sampled by Mysteel fell to a near seven-month low of 2.11 million tonnes as of January 26. Again, over the survey period of January 20-26 the firm procurement of end-users, underpinned by high coke margins, had outpaced the ability of the wash plants to process coal, according to Mysteel’s survey.
