Coal India December off-take up 2.31% y-o-y

January 2: Coal India Limited (CIL), on January 2, said its off-take during December 2014 increased compared to the level reported in December 2013 and November 2014.
Off-take levels in December 2014 stood at 43.91 million tons (mt), up 2.31% from 42.92 mt produced in December 2013, according to provisional data released by the company.
On a month-on-month basis, the company’s off-take rose by 5.63 % from 41.57 mt in November 2014.
During April-December, 2014-15, off-take by the world’s largest coal miner stood at 354.60 mt, up 3.82% over 341.52 mt reported in the corresponding period of 2013-14.
For the current financial year, the company has set an off-take target of 520 mt.
CIL’s off-take targets for April-December, 2014-15 were at 376.65 mt.
According to available data, the company’s actual off–take during November 2014 was 94% of the target of 46.49 mt.
