Coal India Limited’s Nov off-take up 7.25 % y-o-y

December 2: Coal India Limited (CIL) on December 2 said its off-take during November 2014 increased compared to the level reported in November 2013 and October 2014.
Off-take in November 2014 stood at 41.57 million tons (mt), up 7.25% from 38.76 mt produced in November 2013, according to provisional data released by the company.
On a month-on-month basis, the company’s off-take rose by 6.29% from 39.11 mt in October 2014.
During April-November, 2014-15, off-take by the world’s largest coal miner stood at 310.69 mt, up 4.04% over 298.61 mt reported in the corresponding period of 2013-14.
For the current financial year, the company has set an off-take target of 520.00 mt.
CIL’s off-take targets for April-November, 2014-15 were at 330.16 mt, which means is running behind the target by about 6% or 19.47 mt.
According to available data, the company’s actual off–take during November 2014 was 96% of the target of 43.20 mt.
