Coal India’s Jan off-take drops slightly y-o-y

February 2: Coal India Limited (CIL), on February 2, said its off-take during January 2015 fell slightly compared to the level reported in January 2014.
Off-take levels in January 2015 stood at 44.09 million tons (mt), slightly down from 44.44 mt produced in January 2014, according to provisional data released by the company.
However, on a month-on-month basis, the company’s off-take rose slightly from 43.91 mt in December 2014.
During April-January, 2014-15, off-take by the world’s largest coal miner stood at 398.68 mt, up 3.29% over 385.96 mt reported in the corresponding period of 2013-14.
For the current financial year, the company has set an off-take target of 520.00 mt.
CIL’s off-take target for April-January, 2014-15 was 426.58 mt.
According to available data, the company’s actual off–take during January 2015 was 88% of the target of 49.93 mt.
