Coal handling at Dahej port falls 35.51% in Oct m-o-m

November 29: Handling of coal at Dahej port stood at 482,874 tons during the month of October 2013, down 35.51% compared to 748,814 tons handled in August 2013, a senior port official told ICMW on November 29.

During October 2012, total coal handling at the port stood at 888,320 tons.

During the first seven months (April-October) of the current financial year of 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 5,263,780 tons whereas the figure stood at 3,800,372 tons during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
