Coal handling at Ennore port up 6.58% in Aug m-o-m

September 26: Handling of coal at Ennore port stood at 1,863,000 tons during the month of August 2013, up 6.58% from 1,748,000 tons during July, according to a compilation by the Indian Ports Association (IPA).

On the other hand, coal handling during August 2012 stood at 1,180,000 tons.

During the first five months (April-August) of 2013-14, total coal handled by the port stood at 9,011,000 tons as compared to 5,923,232 tons handled during corresponding period of the previous year.
