Coal handling at Kamarajar Port falls 6.85% in April m-o-m

May 9: Coal handling at Kamarajar (Ennore) Port stood at 1,999,000 tons during April 2014, down 6.85% from 2,146,000 tons handled during the previous month, according to a compilation by the Indian Ports' Association (IPA).

During April 2013, total coal handling at the port stood at 1,672,000 tons.

During 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 22,482,000 tons whereas the figure was at 14,997,232 tons in 2012-13.
