Coal handling at Magdalla Port falls 39.97% in Feb m-o-m

March 19: Coal handling at Magdalla Port fell sharply by 39.97% during February 2014 and stood at 329,499 tons, sliding from 548,890 tons handled during January, a senior official of the port told ICMW on March 19.

During February 2013, total coal handled at the port stood at 472,000 tons.

During the first 11 months of 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 4,257,965 tons whereas the figure stood at 4,619,274 tons during the corresponding period of the previous financial year (2012-13).
