Coal handling at Magdalla port trebles in Oct m-o-m

November 28: Handling of coal at Magdalla port during the month of October stood at 792,000 tons during the month of October 2013, up almost thrice from 241,000 tons handled during September, a senior port official told ICMW on November 28.

Coal handling at the port, however, stood at 379,000 tons during October 2012.

During the first seven months (April-October) of 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 2,475,576 tons compared to 2,551,274 tons in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
