Coal handling at Mormugao Port up 24.35% in March m-o-m

April 28: Coal handling at Porbandar Port stood at 705,000 tons during March 2014, up 24.35% from 567,000 tons handled during the previous month, a senior official of the port told ICMW.

During March 2013, total coal handled at the port stood at 721,000 tons.

During 2013-14, total coal handled at Mormugao Port stood at 9,027,477 tons against 7,321,000 tons in the corresponding period of the previous financial year (2012-13).
