Coal handling at Mumbai Port falls 76.45% in Feb m-o-m

March 28: Coal handling at Mumbai Port stood at 122,000 tons during the month of February 2014, down 76.45% from 518,000 tons handled in January, according to data compiled by the Indian Ports' Association.

In February 2013, total coal handled at the port stood at 315,377 tons.

During the first 11 months of 2013-14, total coal handled by the port stood at 3,747,797 tons against 3,673,152 tons reported during the corresponding period of 2012-13.
