Coal handling at Mumbai Port up 53% in Nov m-o-m

December 12: Handling of coal at Mumbai Port stood at 469,000 tons during November 2014, up almost 53.27% as compared to 306,000 tons handled during October, a senior official of the port told ICMW.

In November 2013, coal handling at the port stood at 503,000 tons.

During the first eight months (April-November) of 2014-15, total coal handled at the port stood at 3,017,000 tons whereas the figure stood at 2,780,797 tons during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
