Coal handling at Mumbai port up 71.32% in Oct m-o-m

November 28: Coal handling at Mumbai port during October stood at 442,000 tons, up 71.32% from 258,000 tons handled in September, a senior port official told ICMW on November 28.

Coal handling at the port, however, stood at 274,000 tons in October 2012.

During the first seven months (April-October) of 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 2,277,797 tons compared to 2,533,775 tons in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
