Coal handling at New Mangalore Port falls 50.25% in Jan m-o-m

February 27: Coal handling at New Mangalore Port stood at 488,410 tons during January 2014, down 50.25% from 981,672 tons in December, a senior port official told ICMW.

In January 2013, coal handled at the port stood at 674,506 tons.

During the first 10 months (April-January) of 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 7,019,093 tons compared to 6,289,709 tons during the corresponding period of the previous year.
