Coal handling at New Mangalore falls 50.99% in Oct m-o-m

November 29: Handling of coal at New Mangalore port stood at 359,696 tons during the month of October 2013, down 50.99% compared to 734,000 tons handled during September 2013, a senior port official told ICMW on November 29.

During October 2012, total coal handling at the port stood at 677,853 tons.

During the first seven months (April-October) of the current financial year of 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 4,955,458 tons against 4,034,866 tons recorded during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
