Coal handling at V.O. Chidambaranar Port falls 2.45% in March m-o-m

April 25: Coal handling at V.O. Chidambaranar Port stood at 558,000 tons during March 2014, down 2.45% from 572,000 tons handled during the previous month, according to a compilation by the Indian Ports' Association (IPA).

During March 2013, total coal handling at the port stood at 977,442 tons.

During entire 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 9,299,572 tons whereas the figure stood at 10,616,391 tons in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
