Coal handling at V.O. Chidambaranar falls 10.24% in Jan m-o-m

February 14: Coal handling at V.O. Chidambaranar Port stood at 447,000 tons during the month of January 2014, down 10.24% from 498,000 tons handled in December 2013.

In January 2013, coal handling at the port stood at 1,068,540 tons.

During the first 10 months of the current financial year of 2013-14, total coal handled by the port stood at 8,169,572 tons whereas the figure stood at 8,805,238 tons during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
