Coal handling at V O Chidambaranar falls 24% in July m-o-m

August 26: Coal handling at V O Chidambaranar Port stood at 475,000 tons during the month of July 2014, down 24.24% from 627,000 tons handled in June, according to a compilation by the Indian Ports Association (IPA).

During July 2013, coal handling at the post stood at 1,098,117 tons.

During April-July, 2014, coal handling at the port stood at 2,554,000 tons against 4,277,513 tons during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
