Coal handling at Vizag port falls 15.48% in Feb m-o-m

April 1: Coal handling at Vizag Port stood at 639,000 tons during the month of February 2014, down 15.48% from 756,000 tons handled during January, according to a compilation by the Indian Ports' Association (IPA).

During February 2013, coal handled at the port stood at 530,000 tons.

During the first 11 months (April-February) of 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 8,792,000 tons whereas the figure stood at 9,003,000 tons during the corresponding period of 2012-13.
