Coal handling falls 6.68% at Mumbai port in Sept m-o-m

October 29: Coal handling at Mumbai port stood at 258,000 tons during the month of September 2013, down 6.68% from 276,482 tons handled in August, a senior port official told ICMW on October 29.
In September 2012, coal handling at the port stood at 378,000 tons.

During the first six months of 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 1,835,797 tons against 2,259,775 tons recorded during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
