Coal handling nil at Magdalla Port in July

August 26: Coal handling at Magdalla Port stood at nil during the month of July 2014 while during the previous month, the figure stood at 115,976 tons, a senior port official told ICMW.

During the corresponding month of the previous year, the coal handling figure stood at 213,000 tons.

During the first four months (April-July) of 2014-15, total coal handling at the port stood at 1,705,244 tons whereas the figure stood at 1,310,576 tons during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
