July 16: Coal Handling at Magdalla port stood at nil during the month of June 2013 as compared to 664,576 tons handled during the month of May, a senior official of the port told ICMW on July 15.

 

“Coal handling at the port will remain temporarily suspended till September due to the monsoons,” he said.

 

In July 1012, however, coal handling at the port stood at 313,274 tons. 

 

During the first three months of the current financial year (2013-14), total coal handling at the port stood at 1,097,576 tons as compared to 1,392,274 tons handled during corresponding period of 2012-13.
