Coal handling nil at Porbandar Port in Feb

March 31: Coal handling at Porbandar Port, one of the leading Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB)-operated ports located on the western part of the country, stood at nil during February 2014, same as that in January, a senior official from the port told ICMW.

During February 2013, coal handling at the port stood at 45,000 tons.

During the first 11 months (April-February) of 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 362,299 tons as compared to 588,574 tons handled during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
