Coal handling nil at Porbandar port in Oct

November 29: Coal handling at Porbandar port, one of the leading Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) operated ports located on the western part of the country, stood at nil during October 2013 compared to 41,290 tons handled during September, a senior official of the port told ICMW on November 29.

During October 2012, coal handling at the port stood at 92,905 tons.

During the first seven months (April-October) of 2013-13, total coal handled at the port stood at 235,840 tons as compared to 309,418 tons handled during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
