Coal handling up 0.5% at Mumbai port in August m-o-m

September 16: Coal handling at Mumbai port stood at 276,482 tons during the month of August 2013, up 0.5% from 275,105 tons handled in July, a senior port official told ICMW on July 28.
In August 2012, coal handling at the port stood at 383,000 tons.

During the first five months of 2013-14, total coal handled at the port stood at 1,577,797 tons while the figure stood at 1,881,775 tons during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
