Coal stocks at DTEK warehouses 39% up in a month

Coal stocks at the warehouses of DTEK thermal power plants (TPP) from August 4 to September 4 increased by 38.7%, to 1.582 million tonnes, the press service of the energy holding has reported.

According to its data, coal stocks at the warehouses of the DTEK TPPs also increased compared to coal reserves in the past year by 1.9% ( as of October 4, 2014 the figure was 1.553 million tonnes), but decreased by 38% compared to 2013 (as of October 4, 2013 the figure was 2.553 million tonnes).

From September 28 to October 4, DTEK increased its coal stocks at TPPs by 100,600 tonnes: over the week 451,500 tonnes of coal was delivered, while 350,900 tonnes was used to produce electricity.

Major coal supplies in the past week originated form the mines of DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia: 340,300 tonnes, which is 20.3% more than in the same period last year.

The energy holding noted that exports of deficit anthracite from the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone are still limited due to a lack of empty wagons and locomotives.
