Cochin Port limestone imports down 25% in 2015-16

Imports of limestone via Cochin Port were down 25.19% to 18,650 tons in fiscal 2015-16 against 24,929 tons in 2014-15, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
On the other hand, while 40 tons of limestone were import via the port in March 2016, volumes were nil in February 2016.
A volume of 551 tons of limestone was last imported via this port in December 2015.

In December, the entire volume had come in from the UAE at a price range of Rs 7,494-Rs 8,963 ($111-$133) per ton.
During March 2016, the entire quantity of 40 tons came from the UAE at a price range of Rs 8,996-Rs 9,069 ($133-$133) per ton.
