New UserCochin Port’s 2015-16 gypsum imports rise 15.33%

Imports of gypsum via Cochin Port were up 15.33% to 6,546 tons in fiscal 2015-16 against 5,676 tons in 2014-15, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
On the other hand, imports of the material via the port were down 63.70% month-on-month to 347 tons in March 2016 against 956 tons seen in February 2016.

During March 2016, 26 tons came from Iran in a price of Rs 5,044 ($73) per ton and 321 tons from the UAE at a price range of Rs 4,914-Rs 4,987 ($72-$73) per ton.
During February 2016, 376 tons came from Iran in a price range of Rs 4,710-Rs 5,048 ($69-$74) per ton, 553 tons from the UAE at a price range of Rs 4,894-Rs 9,672 ($71-$141) per ton and 27 tons from the Oman at a price of Rs 4,541($66) per ton.
