Coking coal imports via Gangavaram at 417,414 tons in Nov

December 9: Coking coal imports through the port of Gangavaram stood at 417,414 tons during the month of November 2013 while no coking coal had been imported through the port during the previous month, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
With this, imports via Gangavaram port during the first eight months of 2013-14 stood at 2,793,859 tons, 2.76% lower than 2,873,202 tons imported during the corresponding period of 2012-13.

During November 2013, 307,401 tons came from Australia at a price range of Rs 9,864-Rs 10,676 ($156-$169) per ton, 33,941 tons came from Mozambique at a price of Rs 8,697 ($140) per ton while 76,071 tons came from USA at a price of Rs 9,666 ($155) per ton.
