Coking coal imports via Gangavaram fall 33% in July m-o-m

August 14: Coking coal imports through the port of Gangavaram stood at 425,758 tons in July 2014, down almost 32.68% compared to 632,466 tons recorded in the previous month, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
During July 2013, coking coal imports via the port stood at 590,290 tons.

In July 2014, 394,140 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 6,613-Rs 8,470 ($109-$140) per ton while the balance 31,618 tons came in from Mozambique at a price of Rs 6,281 ($105) per ton.
However, during June 2014, the entire material came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 4,447-Rs 9,229 ($74-$154) per ton.
