Coking coal imports via Kandla down 4.06% in Oct m-o-m

November 25: Coking coal imports through the port of Kandla stood at 43,696 tons in October 2014, down almost 4.06% from 45,547 tons reported in September 2014, as per provisional data available with ICMW.
Imports of coking coal through the port during October 2013 stood at 25,000 tons.

During October 2014, 41,000 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,886-Rs 9,311 ($94-$150) per ton whereas the rest of 2,696 tons came from Mozambique at a price of Rs 8,659 ($139) er ton.
However, in September 2014, 43,047 tons came from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,886-Rs 8,906 ($96-$144) per ton while the balance 2,500 tons came from Mozambique at a price of Rs 8,479 ($139) per ton.
