Coking coal imports via Kandla up 45.41% m-o-m in September

October 16: Coking imports through the port of Kandla stood at 47,200 tons in September 2013, up 45.41 % from 32,458 tons in August, as per information available with ICMW.
The import of coking coal import through the port during the first half (April-September)of FY'14 stood at 162,465 tons while it stood at 177, 359 tons during same period last year.
Following is the monthly break-up of coking coal imports via Kandla:

Of the total coking coal imports through Kandla during the month, 32,000 tons came from Australia whereas 15,200 tons came from Mozambique.
The material from Australia came at a price range of Rs 9,924-Rs 13,006 ($156-$199) per ton while that from Mozambique came at a price range of Rs 5,874-Rs 10,083 ($90-$150) per ton.
