Coking coal imports via Karaikal nearly halve in Apr

May 7: Imports of coking coal via Karaikal Port fell 47.91% to 27,500 tons in April against a volume of 52,800 tons imported in March, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In April, the entire consignment came from Australia at a unit price of Rs 7,754($123).
In March, however, 28,000 tons arrived from Australia at a unit price of Rs 7,453 ($118) and the balance 24,800 tons came from Mozambique at a unit price of Rs 7,609 ($121).
