Coking coal imports via Mormugao fall 19.61% in Jan m-o-m

February 25: Imports of coking coal via Mormugao port stood at 439,481 tons during the month of January, down 19.61% from 546,672 tons imported in December, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
During January 2013, coking coal imports via the port stood at 611,549 tons.

In January 2014, 319,595 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 9,904-Rs 11,176 ($159-$179) per ton, 67,787 tons came from Canada at a price of Rs 9,977 ($160) per ton and 52,100 tons came from Mozambique at a price of Rs 10,158 ($163) per ton.
However, during December 2013, 464,502 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 8,315-Rs 11,294 ($133-$181) per ton while 82,170 tons arrived from Canada at a price of Rs 10,044 ($160) per ton.
