Coking coal imports via Mormugao fall 26.95% in Nov m-o-m

December 5: Import of coking coal via Mormugao port stood at 512,314 tons during the month of November, down 26.95% from 701,308 tons imported in October, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
During November 2012, coking coal import via the port stood at 356,572 tons.
Following are the month-wise coking coal imports via Mormugao port during 2013-14 (up to November) and 2012-13:

In November 2013, 290,605 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 9,461-Rs 11,612 ($149-$187) per ton, 144,609 tons came in from Canada at a price range of Rs 9,468-Rs 10,422 ($150-$168) per ton while the rest of 77,100 tons came in from Mozambique at a price of Rs 9,951 ($158) per ton.
However, during October 2013, 508,238 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 8,187-Rs 10,632 ($128-$170) per ton, 114,012 tons came from Mozambique at a price range of Rs 9652-Rs 10294 ($155-$165) per ton while 79,058 tons came from South Africa at a price of Rs 6,162 ($97) per ton.
