Coking coal imports via Mormugao up 58.6% in Oct m-o-m

November 22: Import of coking coal via Mormugao port stood at 701,308 tons during the month of October, up 58.6% from 442,178 tons imported in September, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
During October 2012, coking coal import via the port stood at 456,540 tons.

During October 2013, 508,238 tons came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 8,187-Rs 10,632 ($128-$170) per ton, 114,012 tons came from Mozambique at a price range of Rs 9,652-Rs 10,294 ($155-$165) per ton while 79,058 tons came from South Africa at a price of Rs 6,162 ($97) per ton.
However, in September 2013, 301,736 tons came from Australia at a price range of Rs 8,371-Rs 11,174 ($131-$167) per ton while 140,442 tons came from South Africa at a price range of Rs 6,738-Rs 6,882 ($101-$109) per ton.
