Coking coal imports via Mundra fall 40% m-o-m in Aug

September 23: Coking coal imports through Mundra Port during August 2014 fell almost 40.17% to 40,403 tons from 67,528 tons recorded in July 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In August 2013, coking coal imports via the port stood at 75,000 tons.
Total imports of coking coal through Mundra Port during the first five months of 2014-15 stood at 422,378 tons against 446,714 tons reported during the same period of the previous financial year.

During August 2014, the entire quantity came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 6,822-Rs 8,973 ($110-$147) per ton whereas during July, the entire quantity also came in from Australia at a price range of Rs 6,689-Rs 8,856 ($111-$147) per ton.
