Coking coal imports via Mundra fall 70.54% m-o-m in Nov

December 23: Coking coal imports through Mundra port during November 2013 fell 70.54% to 38,358 tons from 130,202 tons recorded in October 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In November 2012, coking coal imports via the port stood at 174,306 tons.
Total imports of coking coal through Mundra port in the first eight months (April-November) of 2013-14 stood at 694,154 tons against 1,026,953 tons recorded in the same period of the previous financial year.

In November 2013, 15,888 tons came from Australia at a price range of Rs 6,860-Rs 9,282 ($110-$147) per ton, 18,670 tons came from Indonesia at a price of Rs 8,713 ($138) per ton while 3,800 tons came from Mozambique at a price of Rs 9348 ($148) per ton.
However, during October 2013, 121,502 tons came from Australia at a price range of Rs 5,783-Rs 9,432 ($93-$151), 5,000 tons came from Indonesia at a price of Rs 8,637 ($138) per ton while 3,700 tons came from Mozambique at a price of Rs 5,393 ($87) per ton.
