Coking coal imports via Mundra sharply up m-o-m in March

April 15: Coking coal imports through Mundra Port during March 2014 rose almost four times to 204,620 tons from 50,836 tons recorded in February 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
In March 2013, coking coal imports via the port stood at 24,255 tons.
Total imports of coking coal through Mundra Port in 2013-14 stood at 1,180,022 tons against 1,378,975 tons recorded in the same period of the previous financial year.

In March 2014, the entire quantity arrived from Australia at a price range of Rs 7,605-Rs 10,056 ($123-$162) per ton.
During February 2014, the entire material also came in from Australia but at a price range of Rs 7,943-Rs 9,293 ($126-$148) per ton.
